Our Mission

We are dedicated to amplifying the voices of Asian Americans and Asians in the Psychedelic Renaissance. We advocate for education, access, equitable policy, culturally informed frameworks, and the empowerment of our communities within this transformative movement.

 

Recognizing the unique challenges we face—from the ongoing "war on drugs" in our home countries to the enduring stigmas and traumas rooted in colonialism and imperialism—we strive to create a space where our stories, needs, and perspectives are heard and valued.

Why AAPA?

The Psychedelic Renaissance is reshaping how we approach mental health, healing, and community well-being. Yet, Asian Americans and Asians are often underrepresented in these conversations, or not represented at all. Our communities face distinct barriers, including cultural stigmas, legal disparities, and historical traumas.

 

AAPA exists to bridge this gap, ensuring that our voices are not only included, but also that we have 'a seat at the table' in the movement toward equitable access and understanding.

What We Do

• Advocacy: We work to influence policies and frameworks that reflect the needs of Asian American and Asian communities.

• Education: We provide resources, workshops, and discussions to demystify psychedelics and their potential for healing.

• Community Building: We create safe spaces for dialogue, connection, and collective healing.

• Cultural Integration: We honor and integrate the rich traditions of Asian healing practices into the modern psychedelic conversation, while aiming to center right relationship with our indigenous lineages.
